- Ask before advising â If you feel the urge to fix, try: "Do you want my advice, or would you prefer I just listen?" This simple question honors the speakerâs needs.
- Micro-affirmations â Small signals build safety: a nod, "Mmh," "That sounds really hard," "I hear you," or "Thanks for telling me." Use whatever feels authentic.
